The City of Kinston has initiated the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan for the Kinston planning area.  The plan will include a Lenoir  County-wide health and wellness component (funded with Community Transformation Grant funds).

The final document will provide a creative and dynamic plan to guide future long-term growth and development throughout the next twenty  years.  The intent of this project is to draft a plan that will establish a solid foundation of the ongoing planning program and to serve as the primary policy guide for short- and long-range planning, zoning, and development related decision-making within the Kinston planning area.
